Red or Green? Chama Brazilian Steakhouse - The Foodnistas

Red or Green? To be honest my mind wanted to do green more than red but my body was screaming red. If you’ve ever been to a Brazilian steakhouse you’re all too familiar with this scenario. The two-sided card that they give you after sitting down allows you to indicate if you would like more meat by displaying the green side or if you would like to stop receiving meat by displaying the red side. This card comes in handy when you’re too full to even speak, which happens on the 3rd or 4th round.

Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse is located in the heart of Buckhead about 20 minutes outside of Downtown Atlanta. Chama also has locations in Chicago, Houston and San Antonio. If you’re ready to have your meat served to you until you’re practically laying on the floor than Chama is for you. They have a vast selection of 12 meats including chicken, lamb, pork and so much more. Some of my favorites were the Lamb and Filet Mignon. However, please don’t think I didn’t love every option that came passed, because of course I tried EVERYTHING! Although the meats are the highlight of the show, Chama has an excellent salad bar and sides to accompany your meal. The salad bar had a great selection of toppings and my favorite side was the potatoes.

Food wasn’t the only delicious thing on the menu. The beverage selection was quiet the head turner. I opted for the Strawberry Caipirinha and it did not disappoint. As a side note I spent a year in Miami where Caipirinha’s are very commonly made, I have not had a Caipirinha as good as the ones I had in Miami until I tried the one at Chama. The drink was the right about of fruity, sweet and strong.

One huge thing that I want to point out if you’re thinking about going to Chama is the service. I have never been to a restaurant with such a passionate, caring and knowledgeable staff. I eat out often (hence the food blog lol), but I’ve never had such attentive service in my life. My friend dropped some meat on her pants and a service raced over with a Tide To Go pen to help her clean up. I had never seen anything like it.

As if the meats, the cocktails, and the service weren’t enough I opted for dessert. I had the cheesecake and it was huge and delicious. The cheesecake was topped with strawberries and honestly it was too big to finish.

If you’re looking for an amazing experience with a presentation of meats, great cocktails and even better service them Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse is definitely for you, tell them The Foodnistas sent you.
